Best Practices
- All cover pages should adhere to the recommended dimensions. Using the wrong size can cause the pack to break.
- Use a single, branded background cover at Admin level for consistency.
- Rely on overlays to display meeting-specific details.
- Only use committee- or meeting-level covers when necessary for branding or design.
- Always check that your cover page matches your board pack’s page size.
- Keep text and design elements within safe margins so overlays remain legible.
Below is an example of a generated cover page for a meeting of the Operations Committee. The background was designed to cover the top and bottom areas of the page, while the overlay text was printed in the middle of the document. The result is a board pack cover that looks pleasing and has the full meeting information printed on it.
