Supported Methods of Signing

BoardCloud provides two secure and legally recognized methods of electronic signing.

 X.509 Digital Certificate (Default)

Documents are signed using BoardCloud’s X.509 Document Signing security certificate.

X.509 certificates are widely used for website SSL security and for verifying digital identities.

Each signature includes:

  • The logged-in user’s details
  • The date and time of signing
  • The X.509 certificate stamp

This method ensures that every signature is verifiable and tamper-proof.

External Signature Provider (Enterprise Only)

Enterprise clients can integrate BoardCloud with external e-signature providers such as DocuSign.

This allows organizations to continue using their preferred signing workflow while keeping all documents managed within BoardCloud.
